Produced by the Perth Mint, these 1/10 oz Gold Lunar Year of the Dragon coins commemorate 2012 as the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Each coin features a traditional Chinese dragon with a pearl of wisdom. " The Chinese character for "dragon" and the inscription "Year of the Dragon" appear in the design with the Perth Mint's "P mint mark.

The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II. In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. Not only is the dragon the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac, it is also one of the most popular. This is not a photo of the actual item.
